Doctor’s adventures in time and space

The Waters of Mars

Screen shot 2009-11-16 at 6.31.41 PMI really don’t know what to make of this episode. At times it was silly, but not necessarily in a good way, at times it was dark, but kind of hokey. I don’t really find that the Doctor’s behaviour is really believable. David Tennant’s Doctor is not the Doctor to presume such might over lower-beings (ie. Humans), I could see Christopher Eccelston’s Doctor in that stance, but not Tennant’s.

Also, what’s with the burning fire on the surface of Mars? Yes, Mars has atmosphere, but I doubt it’s thick enough to support a burning flame.

Though, I did really enjoy the episode.

Oh my god! I haven’t seen anything this painful and hard to watch in a long time.

SGU – Earth

Aboard the Destiny

Aboard the Destiny

Earth has a plan for the Destiny’s crew to finally get home… after only seven episodes. I have a feeling it won’t work. Focusing on Chloe and Eli mostly, it also throws more questions as to where Dr. Rush’s loyalties lie. The episode does seem to be a middle episode where not much of the story arch is moving along, but a lot of character development continues.

I just worry that Dr. Rush is going to turn into a moustache twirling villain, if they don’t let us see more of his motivations. He’s no Baltar.
