Synopsis: The Doctor in the wild west! The Doctor has a toothache, and ends up finding Doc Holiday. I remember this serial being horrible, mostly because of the terrible “American” accents. The Doctor sees Doc Holiday, for his toothache, doesn’t seem to realize that dental work in the 19th century is far from ideal. Why he doesn’t pop into the TARDIS and head off somewhere new where perhaps they have better dental work is beyond me. Synopsis: The Doctor, Dodo, and Steven arrive on an ark which is taking the human population from a doomed Earth to a new planet. The guardians who are awake for this journey catch a cold from Dodo, and thus put The Doctor and his companions on trial. Her. Wow. It’s hard to write a review about a film that is just so plainly good. Spike Jonze’s latest film is about a man unable to let go of his past. He’s living a lonely life, until one day a new operating system is released, and he finds companionship and love in his new artificial intelligence. Her is an insanely beautiful love story between man and machine. It’s told extremely effectively, and Jonze proves once again that he is a master storyteller. Jonze hits screenwriter gold, where every piece of the film falls perfectly in place to advance the story. He excels at crafting this complex, but simple concept.

Instead we opted to see the new Joel & Ethan Coen film called Inside Llewyn Davis. Bit of a break down. Llewyn Davis (Oscar Isaac) is a folk singer. Davis is down on his luck. Davis is broke. Farewell Barbara and Ian, hello Steven. Synopsis: The Daleks chase The Doctor through time and space. After a repeat of the finale of the previous story, we get a piano introduction that feels like it came out of Mr. Dressup. The episode opens with The Doctor tinkering with a “Time-Space Visualizer,” trying to get it to work. Essentially it’s a TV that shows images from any time and space.
